Hi all,
I'd like to announce that the Crusade Hotseat game is in need of a new player for the Byzantine faction...
Please volunteer here or by PM so that I can get you the password...
We are currently at turn # 9 with the Byzantines in the lead in almost every aspect of the game...
They have conquered the whole Anatolia part of Turkey while the turks were dealing with Antioch and destroyed it...
They have no alliance with anyone that I know of...
But should the KOJ fall (which I will try to avoid...), they will have to face the whole Muslim world...
I'll be waiting for 48 hours until turning the faction over to the AI...
In the case of multiple volunteers, I cannot guarantee a first come, first serve basis as some commitment is requested...
I guess this would a be a great chance to hijack the thread and ask for a new player for Denmark in the Teutonic hotseat. :hijacked:

Feel free to post here about the Denmark position if you like...
[EDIT] In fact, I've asked Econ to modify the thread name to make it more general so that any freed-up slot in any hotseat can be announced here for players to volunteer...

Hotseat Gamemasters, this thread is made available to you to make known any slots available in your campaigns due to player dropping out or because you are starting a new game...
Hotseat would-be Players, feel free to post here so that GM can have a pool of players to choose from when looking for replacements...

I'm up for any hotseat game that doesn't require Kingdoms.

Sorry Cecil, but for the moment, all slots available are in Kingdoms Hotseat games... Either Teutonic or Crusades...

I'm aware. It sounded like one of the purposes of this thread would be that potential GM could read it to get an idea of how much interest there is for their PBEM. Sort of like how the KOTR Active Duty list lets people know who's able to battle.

That's right... That is the purpose also...

Hi ! I'm in the mood for some online hotseating, although I've never done it before. It sounds like alot of fun, and I don't have any specific faction/campaign wishes. If anyone needs a player, please contact me! ;)
Hello, I am in need of a sub for one of my games (that means one turn only). If anyone wants to give a hotseat turn a try it'd be very helpful. I only wish I had something better to offer than a single turn. :clown:

Ok, I'll be able to help. Just tell me how, when and what to do :D

Sorry, but as we're on a tight schedule, we did it ourselves. I'm sure you'll be kept in mind for future subbings though. It's always better to have a non-involved player doing it, in my opinion!

sorry Barca, we were a bit slow in realising we needed a sub and so we didn't wait around for too long after making the request - but you can definitely sub for me in the same game next time I need help
and I've got you on my list of people to approach when I eventually start a hotseat game of my own...

add me to that list would you :D
Sorry, as the others mentioned another player managed to sub the turn. I can put you on the list to take a faction if any of the players in either of my hotseats (one is very large with a lot fo players) drop out.
Alternatively, I know at least two peopl (one is me :beam: ) who will be starting a new game as soon as they're taken out in one of the current ones. Could be awhile, though, these games move a bit slowly.
Ok, I'll be able to help. Just tell me how, when and what to do :D
I may just have a real, permanant hotseat slot for you, barcamartin. I'd like to wait until it's absolutely certain, but one of the players in my grand campaign game has announced that he'll be without a gaming computer for the forseeable future. If it's true he can't play, you're welcome to join the game.

It's ok guys, just tell me when I'm needed and I will probably be able to play. :)
Sounds great. I want to wait a little while to make sure it's official. Once I know for sure, I can send you the passwords and other needed info. In the meantime, feel free to check the Council thread if you'd like to see what all the countries have been saying in public. The main OOC thread is less worth poring over, but it's first page has all of the player's and their factions, and last page shows whose turn it is.
It's ok guys, just tell me when I'm needed and I will probably be able to play. :)
There ar a couple of about to be open positions to sub (waiting through this evening for a reply from the palyer who hasn't been around). One is for the Britannia campaign, as Norway, involved in a soewhat tough war, and the other is for Hungary in the Grand Campaign Hotseat 2, still early and expanding to rebel settlements.

We may have lost our Scotland player, so anyone interested to play Scotland in MPC?

sorry for the double post but I wanted to drop back in here to say we had a great response on the first day of recruitment for the BC hotseat - we have nine players, including a first-time hotseater
however, many of the major factions are still up for grabs including the ayyubids (mamluks!), georgians (cool heavy infantry and knights), turkish sultanate, ghaznavids (invade india..go on, you know you want to) and khwarezm shah (powerful, but first in line for the mongol invasion)
so come on and book your places!
EDIT: The game is now underway and has progressed too far to take on any new human players. Sorry!

I am willing and able to sub for all games except Kingdoms-related games.
I have Vanilla, Lands To Conquer, and Broken Crescent.
I am also interested in joining any non-Kingdoms-related hotseat in the future. Like a vampire, I've had my first taste of blood and I crave more.
:vampire:
volunteering for any game with kingdoms or mods
Edit: never played a game like this so will need some help to get started :embarassed:

We need a replacement for the Danes in the MPC hotseat. The MPC game is the original Throne Room hotseat, the first for MTW2 at The Org as far as I know. I believe we're past thirty turns into it. The Danes' player has just been expelled due to the player in question abusing exploits.
The situation sees the Danes at war with Scotland and having already captured Inverness, Edinburgh, York, and I believe Caernarvon as well. I know the Scottish player would be up for a truce if the new Danish player so desired. The French, consolidating from their former number 1 power status, are aiding the Scots while Germany, Poland, Spain, and Sicily are relatively neutral and Russia's position is unclear. England has already been eliminated.
The rules are relatively simple: Don't abuse exploits and don't accept Man of the Hour or other territorial adoptions. Only natural born sons and husbands for your daughters are allowed to join your family. That rule is enforced.
edit: To clarify the Scot's position, they would be willing to discuss peace terms, but not with the current borders.
Hmm, maybe I should just let someone else take Poland and play the Danes myself.
Interested parties can PM me or just post to the thread:

:egypt:
uhhh the Russians may attack the Danes as well. Just saying so they don't think I'm attacking them because they're new, it has been planned for a while now.

I would volunteer for the assignment. I don't care if I get eliminated, I just want to play.

I'd like to volunteer to an active PBM. I am currently in the Grand Campaign Hotseat: Rising Storm.
