How are you guys getting to user pages? I've tried on the link in site tools and it says I don't have permission to access that page... :embarassed:

and I can't see it in User CP options either.

The rating system was disabled. When topics by CA had to be flagged part, of this system was used. There was no goood or bad, just CA or not.

The userpage does have rating too, that should be disabled, but it's enabled.

The content has to be civil/PG-13, that's the only restriction.

CAsymbol-terribleSadly that's there due to the way the system of marking threads containing CA posts work. There is no add-on to create the mark, just manipulation of the built in "ratings" system.

The rating system uses icons to show the overall rating of a thread on the forum's main page. These icons appear to the right of the thread title in its containing forum. The default is a set of stars, although this can be edited to provide custom symbols.

As you may have realized, the custom symbol for the "Terrible" rank is a CA icon. Staff can, due to this being the icon, use the ratings system to easily mark threads containing CA posts. The function is disabled for members on threads to prevent them from creating a CA symbol where it wouldn't be appropriate.

Edit: Gah! It seems that Tosa beat me to it - I spend much too long devising and revising my posts.

I'm sorry to be the critical one to point this out, but there are a couple of small errors/bugs/missing text entries with the current set-up.

The most noticeable of these is when one places a shout upon their/another user's page. It instead provides the phrase "Could not find phrase 'shout_posted'.".

Another more minor problem is the text in the box to the bottom left hand corner of the screen. It seems to be grammatically incorrect stating "Last Updated[date here]". Rather than being in the current format, "Last Updated: [date here]" would in my opinion be a more accurate way of writing it.

Although this is fairly trivial, on a user's drop down menu, which is activated by clicking on one's user name in a thread, the button to access the user's user page in my opinion isn't in keeping with the text for the rest of the links. Although this may sound fairly trivial, might I suggest that the text "View My Userpage" is replaced with "View Userpage". I feel that this keeps uniformity with the text above it ("View Public Profile").

More likely it is to do with which forum skin you are using - try Guild if you're on something else.

A plea to TosaInu. I have a friend on this site, who's name I shall not mention at this time. If you look at my posts you will see I have made nothing but constructive edits, aside from one or two minor blips, i.e., I am a respected member . My friend would be greatly appreciative if he could create a user page. How long will it be before he gains this privelage? My gratitudes, Mrdun.

Hello Kagemusha,

It's only one page. There were plans for several pages and some other features, the person who made it has extra real life commitments and thus development halted (a bit).

I'm not aware of a limit on that one page though. I guess you could post quite some text.

The Wiki has a personal userpage too (https://forums.totalwar.org/wiki/index.php my talk link at top). I guess it is possible that someone else edits it, I'ld be able to see that though, consider that a personal page and can roll it back.
