After now playing quite a few games online and offline, I'm starting to think Spearmen need some tweaking.
I can understand their effectiveness front-on vs cavalry, but they tend to be a little too powerful against other melee units. Remember, these are spears we are talking about here...not massively long pikes. They should be reasonably supceptible to Swordsman attacks.
As it stands now, head-to-head in a front on engagement, spearmen can hold their own against swords and this shouldn't be the case. Afterall, if Spearmen are almost as good or as good as Swordsmen, why even build Swordsmen when Spearmen are so much more versatile (good against melee units and cavalry)??
Anyone else noticing this?
