This thread is for any and all minor modding requests related to VanillaMod.
If you do not want certain elements of VanillaMod while playing or would like to change how certain things work or even play on a different timescale, this is the thread you want to post in. If I have the time and will, I may release modified versions of some files to suit your specific request. Those will unlikely make it into an actual release and are provided on a personal use basis.

All ancillaries transferrable mini mod for VM 0.92:

Make sure that you place the file correctly. By default, it should be extracted to VanillaMod\data and you should be promted to overwrite. If that is not happening, the file is not correctly placed!

This might be asking for too much, but can you introduce a mini-mod that contains a map with more territories? I thought the Regions & Provinces mod did good at expanding the map in that sense.

See the map progress thread

Nice! One more small thing. I've been attempting to return the formation depth back to what it normally was, however, this doesn't seem to be changed through the EDU. Can you tell me the file which needs to be edited and how it must be edited?

Thx in advance. This is a great mini-mod. :beam:

EDIT: I think this is the wrong thread. Or it could be a minor mod?

With armour upgrades, do they work as in vanilla, with each level giving +1 to armour, or do they work as the do in reality, with a town militia in padded armour having the correct armour value that he would if he had padded normally?

If not, a fix would be nice :grin2:

Armor values are hardcoded afaik so nothing I can do there.
However, +1 generally means more than +1 (as they do normally and in pretty much every other mod)

Re formation, you want to be editing the formations_ai file.

Hello FactionHeir,

I just installed your mod and saw that you added a new winning condition to every faction: eliminating its neighbouring factions.

So my question is how can I remove this requirement? Which file do I have to change?

@SoulBlade: the file you're looking for is descr_win_conditions.txt, found in data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign under your Vanilla Mod folder.

There'll be a bunch of these...

venice
hold_regions Constantinople_Province Milan_Province Naples_Province Antioch_Province
take_regions 35
outlive milan sicily
short_campaign hold_regions ;Constantinople_Province
take_regions 15
outlive milan sicily
...for each faction. Comment out (i.e., add a ";" in front of) each outlive faction-name and you're set.

Don't know if you're still around, but I've been looking for a mod to speed up 2h animations in M2TW 1.5. I heard that your mod does that but I really only want the animation fix and not the other tweaks. Is it possible to get just that? I've heard that the official patches fixed the 2h bug but I don't think they did really.
