A little quirk on my English campaign. I built a cathedral and so was allowed to bestow the title of archbishop of canterbury.

Ok heres a useful little title I thought, so gave it to an ok 3 star general. Within 2 turns the man was dead drunk, lazy and an outlaw. Had to bump him off...

ok next recipient of the title turned out to be a secret pervert(might have already had this, I did'nt check), became a heavy drinker and a blackmailer. Sent to his death in a one sided battle...

Next time it was an ex-prince, and I was keeping an eye on this one and whaddya know, dead drunk, bad steward and a glutton.

I can only assume that the communion wine and easy access to altar boys that come with the title must be the problem. Still its funny (and I'd imagine coincidental) incidents like this that make the game such fun!

Have a look in the startup files. There some of the titles have an entry under vice. Could well be that some titles corrupt more than others!

I played an English campaign earlier and I noticed that my general had affinity for hitting the sauce as a routine vice.

well here in Romania is a quote about priests :
do what the priest said not what he actuaslly do http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

------------------
One sword to behead the white ruler sitting on the white throne in the Vatican.
One sword for the ruler who will come and unite us under the sign of the cross
with broken arms. Eleven swords to behead eleven lords and rulers of the land
united under the blue banner. A hundred swords to defend our southern
boundaries against black plague and half moon.
And one axe for me to defend my stronghold, and may I call this axe, "Bane of
Christendom" soon.
