So SwordMaster's Midwestern tour is over, and Real Life is about to suck me back into its filthy grasp.
After much deliberation SwordMaster has decided to continue his education. With a PhD in Labour Economics. Yeah, yeah. That decision is made, and I will stop talking about myslf in the third person. I need advice about selecting a suitable university to do this. There are several requirements:
1-Chicago or similar driving distance from Madison, WI.
2-Obviously, good specialists and facilities.
3-Financing. I'm not made out of money, unfortunately.
4-My primary degree is in Computer Science, so while i do have a good mathematical foundation, my economics base is not formalised. So an econ degree as a requirement would not suit me...
I know that some of the Orgahs might me able to recommend something, although anything that could even point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

University of Wisconsin at Madison seems like a great university. I'm not sure of their curriculum but I've heard many good things about it.
Money for college is everywhere even if you can't join the military. It's just a pain in the ass to find. There should be a catalog at whatever school you attend which lists all of the scholarships and grants available. If you're not a citizen (then go back to MEXICO!), erm, then contacting your congressman isn't an option.

Hmm, here's a suggestion if you're willing to go a little farther out midwest: Iowa State University. Pretty cheap, and have an EXCELLENT computer science program, its one of the things they are (somewhat) known for. Only thing is, its a little farther from Madison than you might like, about 5 1/2 to 6 hours, depending on how fast you drive.

Hey, no worries. I do appreciate the advice
Anyone know of any good universities in the UK what take CCC? I could probably aim for a bit higher but, i'm targeted D's, pah that sucks.
University of Chicago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_chicago#Academics)

You could look there. They've got a pretty famous economics department, they've produced Milton Friedman and Steve Levitt among others.

I second Chicago. It's probably the best in the country for undergraduate economics, although it is extremely expensive and difficult which isn't for everyone.
