How do you think your exploits in M2TW might have changed history?

Hmmmm by playing M2TW I spent less time outside and bought a lot less things, became a different person and didn't meet more people. Therefore I have changed history for ages to come as what I did not do is as important as what I did end up doing.

Maybe I doomed mankind even.

But that is a story for the front/backroom.

God help us all if my in-game exploits were reflected in real history.

Specifics would depend on which of my campaigns you chose, but generally speaking the world of the phonicsmonkey would be culturally homogenous, highly militaristic, theocratic and characterised by high taxes, extensive watchtower construction programmes and frequent deaths of unpopular politicians in suspicious yachting accidents

The world would be a dark, dark place. Theocracy is a good word, as I seem to incessantly be empowering the Pope with an empire and an army of priests. Also an unusual number of my Kings turn out to be full blown crazies. Plenty of those in history I suppose, but few that ruled over half of Europe and the Levant.

How do you think your exploits in M2TW might have changed history?

Oh.... yeah....

THAT would be a very, very bad thing.

Well for one, there would be a United European Empire under the banner of the Royal Family of England, a totalitarian regime of unlimited power guilty of the most heinous crimes imaginible, the total destruction of non-white, non-Christian, non-European peoples.

The history of Europe would not exist, as all the books and churches and documents would have been burned to cover up the crimes. History would be rewritten by the conquerors... and United English Europe, under the English Pope, with the total destruction of non-Anglo peoples, would have remained a superpower well into the modern era. The English empire would have continued its conquest of the Atlantic, Africa, and most of the world, with Mongolia and China being the last and only holdouts against English oppression.

A doctrine of racial superiority would have compelled the Anglo people to breed and breed to the point of blind lust, and created millions of soldiers.

By the time gunpowder rolled around, the Chinese and Mongolian peoples would be under seige by a sea of racist, genocidal maniacs, while the native Americans, Arabs, and Africans would be the servant class at home.

The proud Chinese and Mongols would be willing to fight to the death of course, but their leaders eventually accept English rule.

By the 1800s, forced labor camps and mass graves would dot the Asian countryside.

By the 1900s, race riots and splinter groups would shatter the Anglosphere, and civil war would break out amongst rival sects. With no group willing to make peace, weapons of mass destruction would be built, and the great powers of the former English world would destroy one another in a nuclear holocaust.

The nuclear winter which followed would eliminate 99.9 percent of all species on Earth. The survivors would be soil bacteria which can exist in ultra cold temperatures, and the archaean extremophiles which thrive on the bottom of the sea surrounding thermal vents.

Eventually, over the course of a billion years, another race of intelligent beings would arise on Earth, with non-Eukaryotic cells. The extremophilic Archaean people would thrive, and unearth the relics of the dinosaurs and the mammalian races, and learn from the mistakes of the past.

By colonizing space with their superior resistance to heat, cold, and non-oxygenated atmospheres, the Archaean people would eventually go on to spread their superior civilization throughout the cosmos.

All because I, Askthepizzaguy the Merciless, decided to wage war on Europe and succeeded in exterminating all resistance. What a fool I was... I succeeded only in exterminating myself.

So in the end, it might not be so bad for other life forms... but for human beings, I was only the last, fatal plague on humankind.

Heres how my campgin as Spain would effect history.


First of all Most of europe would be under the banner of Spain. France, The HRE, Milan, Venice, The Turks, The Moors, Denamrk and the English and scottish would be united under my banner. My agents would see to it that dissent and hersay was dealt..with brutally.

The Americas would merely be a new land to rule. The Native Americans would quickly submit to my forces. The proud Aztecs and Mayans would resist to the last man.

The Spainish empire would rule for many years until the Eastren nations (Byzantium, Hungry, Russia, Eypt, Poland, Japan, China, Mongolia, India, etc.)
United and attacked the Spainish empire. The following war would last for hundreds of years. When the war ended the Spainish Empire would still survive in the Iberian Peinsula (Sp?) and in their colonies in the new world. The Eastren Nations would be reduced to scattered cells and a few holdouts.

All would be peaceful for the Spainish Empire until a revolution supported by the remants of the Eastren Stats began.. lasting until 1789. After the Revolution the spainish empire would only have its holdings in the New World.

Until the next revolution supported by the freed Europen and Eastren Nations.
This revolution would last until 1925. After it the Spainish Empire would only hold Mexico and South America.

The next war would roll around in 1945. It would be between the Spainish Empire and the Free States Of North America. The war would burn brightly and shortly lasting until 1949. At the end of the War the Spainish Empire would only hold the soutern part of South America.

The next war would start in 1990 and last until 2020. The The Free States of North America and The United Tribes Of Africa would wage war against the Spainish Empire and The Allaince Of South American States. The War itself would end the Spainish Empire and weaken The Allaince of South American States.

The moral of this story is...never put me in charge.
