Public or Anonymous Forum Voting?
What would you like?

For the forum election polls or just forum polls in general.

I like Public polling, however there are problems with it when it comes to more private matters, such as sex. In those cases I would prefer private.

Depends on the issue; some extra votes might be gained if the vote is anonymous.

Unless it's really touchy (i.e. an election/very private matter), I would always make it public. It encourages people to defend their stance when everyone can see who voted for whom.

...On a side note, does anyone notice the irony of eight people voting for public polls -- but only two actively voicing their support?

Gah! It depends.

It's up to the poll creator and really depends on the circumstances of each specific poll.

And a complete non-issue.

Something I've been wondering about for a while, can't believe I was beat to it by Tuff

Don't care

If I feel the issue is to private to share with others I simply won't vote.

Like most of those who've replied, I think public is great by default, but depending on the issue, the poll-creator may decide to make it private, and that's fine.

Gah

It all depends on the issue.
