Campaign Map slow down

Hi, I'm new the EB and so far the mod has been a great exprience!
Though my game extremely slows down on the campaign map. I know EB is running close to what RTW can handle, but are there any performance tips to get the campaign map a bid more fluid? The battles themselves are ok.

turn off the shadows and close any unnecessary running process before playing

Turn off character and settlement names using Ctrl-T and Ctrl-N. There's an unofficial mod that cuts the client ruler script too; the reduced script size will make a difference. Also, defrag your hard drive and consider buying more RAM if you have less than 2GB.
