I started up RTW: EB with BI the other day and all the landscape was pink! I hit the show me how/script button and the end turn button but nothing worked. I even reloaded to a different save but everything was still pink.
The game was working fine for me 2 weeks ago...so I have no idea what's going on. :(
That happened to me in Genewars once. I couldn't get it right again, short of reinstalling Windows. Still I think someone found a cure for it for RTW, try a forum search for "pink" in the tech help.

I searched for it - no good. The only thing that came up were pink bunnies and pink elephants. Another person had a pink script problem but there were no solutions either

How did you fix yours? Start a new campaign/reinstall the graphics driver?

Have you done the obvious things, like restart your computer?
Then maybe try unistalling/reinstalling RTW/EB, if nothing else works....

yeh... :(
Try this one (yeah, it wasn't under the tech help forum, sorry): https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=84560&highlight=pink
Basically, a reinstall should do the trick. You can run the validation tool to see which files have gone missing or become corrupted, I think.

k thxs, ill try that
pink randomly appearing in games is usually a sign of an overheating GPU
Check your tempreatures(speedfan), lower graphics settings, and update your drivers.
You will want to stop overclocking to test things out if you are doing this.

I just reinstalled EB (with the EB 1.0 instillation repair option) and reloaded my saves. It still has the same problem. =(
I tried to start a new campaign, but it just crashed for any faction I selected.
Run the validation, see what is missing.

Did you try a manual reinstall? Delete RTW from your computer, then delete all of the files in RTW. Then install RTW, the patches, and then EB.

aight, I'll try that. Right now all my saved games are pink, while trying a new game/custom game makes the game crash...
grrrrr
I suspect Vista did a massive file corruption on my EB folder... >.<

I'd also advise to avoid installing into the Program Files folder. To NOT install in the Program Files folder may makes Vista behave better.

My monitors flickers to pink every now and then too. I find that there's a 'sweet spot' at the back of the LCD monitor which I just tap hard with my fingers, and it goes back to normal. Of course, tapping it when it's normal could cause it to go pink also, but tapping it yet again will bring it back. There must be some sort of hidden 'toggle' button there.
If so, I advise to disconnect the cable to your monitor and plug it back in. It's likely loose.
