Doing the Thracians justice

I would like to add some building and units to the Thracian tech tree:
--give them Barbarian Cav on Cavalry Stables, instead of Greek Cav
--and give them Companion Cavalry on the fourth tier stables
--give them Levy Pikemen for the second tier barracks together with the current Falxmen


Also, how do I give the Greek factions the ability to build Highways, albiet at one tier higher than the Romans' Highways?

And is it possible to add a Temple of Venus for the Julii? Given their boast that they were descended from Venus, the absence of a shrine to their divine ancestor seems odd.

afaik for all you ask there are tutorials available to show you how to do it ..

and you cant make a building available to 1 faction at 1 trier and at an other trier for an other faction, or you will have to add a 2nd building of the same type (eg; roads2/highway2) and make it available to that faction, though in this case it kinda wrecks the look of the game as you will have to prevent the road-bonus from being aplied to the faction that have the other road wich means that if they capture a settlement with roads the roads will dissapear only so they can build them again and are left with an indistructable building that doesnt do them any good ...
there are ways similair to above that can work but I'll leave that to your own imagination .. ;)

Rather than give them barbarian Cavalry I gave them Barbarian Noble cavalry as that i show their nobles faught and although not very many in general they were good quality cavalry!

Though a more accurate way of representing them might be to give them Barb cav to replace the Greek at tier 2 and give them access to a tier 3 stables to recruit Noble cavalry on top.

And as the previous poster noted their are tutorials for doing all these things, if you need help let me know and I'll post a link to the relevant guides

I totally mised your part on giving them companian cavalry as well as barb cavalry!

But maybe Noble cavalry rather than Companian would be more accurate?

Actually, you're right. I just wanted to give them some decent cavalry.

I know about the guides, but I was just wondering if it would be possible for someone to guide me through step-by-step-- I really don't want to end up with a CTD.

The guides themselves are really very very good - they're how I learnt to Mod (See my thread Midnight Total War to see how easy they are to follow, I've only been modding 6 months!)

I cant write anything here better than whats already there, however if you'd like to go through step by step with someone in real time, I'm willing, easier to do it on MSN Messenger (or equivlant) if you have it? And I'll talk you trough 1 building and 1 unit.
