I just fought in Burgundy (i think) against the HRE, and it was snowy.

well after fighting the damned russians with my Itallians in Finland (love the trade routes) i saw my first snows... damn Boyars are tough though

Whether you see seasons or not depends on the number of battles you play each turn. The first is always Spring, then Summer, Autumn, WInter and Spring again ... so if you play at least 4 battles you will see winter maps.

I thought winter depended on you waiting for better weather, I think that was how they said they would implement it. You know back when DD told us about seasons and years.

Question for devs:

Wouldn't it be more reasonable to pick what season you fight in the battle dialog box and the longer you wait maybe the more chance you get to have "the enemy is upon us" message, just like delaying the number of days?
