God, the enjoyment of this fantastic mod is painful! Anyways, straight to the point: I'm currently playing a KH campaign, and I have this strange desire to keep my entire ruling family of Spartan ethnicity. As a result, I find that the proposals of marriage to women in the family are being continually rejected, due to the fact that there are barely anymore Spartans available for bethrothal or adoption.

Therefore, I'm beggining to sink so low as to ask if there are any cheats with which I can remove, for example a character's trait entitled "Athenaios," and replace it with "Spartiates." Any help on this matter would be most... helpful.

i think you can mod the traits and remove the athenaios and so from the trait list and leave only spartiates :)

Or, talking about modding, you could change the chance of becoming a Spartiate at 100%, that way if you want to change it back you could simply edit the 100 to 17 later on.

But if you want to change it per character you can do it like this

press the "~" button while in game, type in
give_trait "characternname" Spartiates

It would, methinks, be a bad idea to remove a trait which is currently being used by the save-game ... ?

To expand on fahrenheit's tip, you should also remove the old ethnicity using give_trait "charactername" Ethnicity -1 where ethnicity is Athenaios, Rhodios, Kres, Korinthios, Euxeinos or Ion.

Thx for your support, but to be honest, I'm a total coward when it comes to modding files...
Anyways, I played around with the give_trait cheat, and found this:

give_trait "Methuselah Magnus" Athenaios opt:0
give_trait "Methuselah Magnus" Spartiates

Where opt:0 gets rid of the trait.
Assuming the character was an Athenian, these cheats, used through the "~" console code, should get rid of the Athenaios trait, and replace it with the Spartiates trait. So far it's been working for me.
