I didn't expect mine to make it since I had a mod (hence the aquilifers).

Anyways, I like Iron Rain a lot (besides my screen of course :clown:).

Hideous border and naff 'glint' on the eagle aside, I quite like TWFanatic's "Under the Eagle" screenshot. It's got that up-close and personal feel to it that I do so enjoy. Voted for Centurio Nixalsverdrus' "Iron Rain", though.

I voted for "The Charge". I can't even put my finger on what I like about it. Maybe I just like charges?

Imho, the best-looking one. The charge would be better, but I dislike how the formations are so in.. formation. <.< More rage, intensity, less order! Under the Eagle could be nice, the atmosphere, key figures/person-level drama... But ze graphics. It isn't visually very pleasing, exactly, imho... Sorreh. Iron Rain on the other hand... Just doesn't strike me that well. I don't know what it is, as I especially love the (massed) javelins flying on the enemies, and have taken several such screenies myself, but I just don't... Like it, for some, odd reason.

Well, I said it in the posting topic. Eastern Warfare, no contest. None of the others come close in composition, both in setting as in colour. Lovely.

I must admit I like Eastern Warfare better than mine.

Eastern Warfare... the composition is really fantastic. The juxtaposition of the riders in the foreground works well with the comparatively tiny archers in the background; it gives the viewer a feel for what it felt like to be those respective soldiers: the titanic, armor-clad lancers versus the seemingly insignificant, and certainly more vulnerable, foot archers. The colors are also quite striking: the contrast of orange(ish) wheat and blue sky is very effective. Plus, it's really big, and that works well with the dramatic subject matter.

The only reason I did not choose Eastern Warfare was because the golden grass, which initially looked very nice, drags on for far too long.
So I was forced to vote for the Charge, (picture, not the Author!), in staunch support of the Horse.

I have just voted Eastern Warfare (not cause i like cavalry, but cause i think it's the better screenshot). Now, being On-Line, i wasn't able to see the partial scores. If i knew Eastern Warfare had already won, i would have voted for you, sorry.

I won't mind letting TWfanatic go before me, his pic is beautiful enough to finish first (but so are the other three...). I was only encouraging my picture. :p
