Faithful minions! Doth your loyalty know not bounds? Your response to my introduction thread was more than any man could expect! For a man who works so hard to please others, it is both gratifying and reassuring to hear words of such comfort. You will indeed KnowMarat. Know your leader, and love your leader. You will hear what I have to say! You will know what I am thinking! A new era dawns, so open your windows and breath in the air of modernity. As soon as this thread achieves 10 posts, I will tell you a secret. Your leader, Marat

Because of these unforseen events, I can share no secret. I will however allow those of you who's loyalty has remained intact to ask me one question each. These questions will be answered fully and honestly, as you would expect from your leader. As for the offender? May he never disgrace my forums again, or he will fell my wrath. Let me make myself clear. You bother because I am your leader! What the vagabonds of Tudor London would have given to walk up to the great Henry VIII and and engage in a Q&A! What the poor, deprived people of the third world would give to ask their leader 'Why am I starving?' Don't you see? This is your chance! Forget Abokasee! Forget the moderators! Who is Magnus? eh?

Finally! A man with sense! Magnus is our guardian. He roams these forums under a pseudonym which I can not reveal (but I can inform you that it begins with the same letter). His main domain is the TWC Wiki website where he goes under the name of...Magnus. You can also find him on the regular wikipedia, just type in 'user:Magnus2'. I must stress now that I AM NOT MAGNUS. He is a friend of mine, and a good tutor. Maybe later, if he wills it, I will reveal his true identity within these very forums. The redsea infantry are also really helpful in flanking the phalanxes, because of their armour piercing axes.

First of all, allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have made this thread what it is. So many questions, with so little time to answer! Here are my answers!

Anyways, what is the best way to go about defeating the gray and yellow deaths as the saba
Mediolanicus, thank you for your contribution. Think not that I belittle your tecnique when I offer my own thesis. The saba are certainly not by favourite of factions, their neighbours are powerful and in abundance, and their early units weak. One thing I would suggest would be to make an alliance with the deaths. Allow them to fight your battles, before reaping their rewards. Once you become powerful enough and having conquered the rebel lands around you, break this alliance and destroy them.

In battle, cavalry is obviously limited. It is probably best not to try hammer and anvil. I often try to take what lowlife refer to as 'cheapshots', i.e. ambushes and feign retreats to weaken their forces. My personal opinion is that once you have done this, you should get straight to the heart of the problem. Don't starve them out, get in whilst the garrison is minimal. I hope this helps, however my expertese is somewhat limited when it comes to the saba.

Um... O great Marat, do you like brie cheese?

No. As a man of fine culanary experience, I would have to say that my personal prefference is Wensleydale. I relish the prospect of ravaging my way through a plate full, especially when there is apricot in it.

O great Marat! i have seen the error of my ways! what can i do to repent my former sins?!

Oh great Marat tell me my lord

Get EB of course! Otherwise, you can of course distract your mind from such vices, through fast and study. (Anybody who knows which Shakespeare play I am elluding to here will recieve a prize. First correct entry wins.)

O Marat, what exactly were you doing in your bath under the water when Constance stabbed you?

Pezhetairoi, you must know your leader's inspirations better! Jean Paul Marat was killed by Charlotte Corday. If you are jokingly reffering to the actress who played her in the 1914 film, my apologies, but highly I doubt you are. Anyway, Marat spent most of his time in the bath. He suffered from a condition of the skin which meant that to do otherwise would have resulted in severe pain.

Mister Marat;
In relation to our private battle, do you aspire then to be Shakespeare?
Or rather to of written his plays

You will realise I have left you until the end Glenn, as your question requires the most thought. Would I rather be the romantic ideal, the man who takes credit for other's work? The Prima Donna who walks onstage and callously belts out her latest hit, giving the songwriter no recognition? Or would I rather be the man who works behind the scenes? The hardworking scholar who feels the overwhelming sense of pride upon viewing his Magnus Opus, but all the while he knows that he is notably devoid of the public adoration that he so craves. The answer is of course both. Every man wants to be the best of the best in his field, and he also wants people to know that he is the best of the best in his field. When you strip away all other factors however, a leader must always do what is best for his people and that is what I do. Does it therefore matter whether I am Shakespeare or the man who writes his plays?

He is a creature Mediolanio, a powerful and suspicious beast - but these qualities are tarnished when a burden is upon him, and he hauls the lumber of another's bidding.
Capo de Tutti Capi is the culprit of all this!
It has no gender, no voice, no face, but it lives in all those who will listen, and you must listen... because by God it sounds fun.

As for the ox who abstractly announces this great being, Marat, I am pleased that you have shown, by degrees, respect at last for my opposition to your very existence.
Be wary you do not support yourself with Elizabethan airs and graces lest, should you indeed gather a following, it will be in awe of a man centuries dead - and not his glory-starved admirer.

As for who you are, you are Marat, and in the eyes of all here, you have neither written world-famous plays nor performed them - and you do not truly pine or long to be writer or actor, but rather the leader of a religious sect with no objective or organisation.

Sons and Others of the Almighty Moustache!
Gather your family, and rescue the children of your neighbourhood - take them to liquor stores or to Memorial Royal Hotels and baptise them in the Jagermeister!
When this man speaks, he vomits diseased verses which allow your faith to fall ill, it is true, there is not one great religion but many - and any heretical mischief will be more deserving of you than the requests and desires of Marat!

Had you not have been loyal up to this point, I would have disregarded your question due to your blaspheming. Your leader is NOT a creature. However, your loyalty has not been in question before this point, so I will make you a list of your leaders favourite bands. Radiohead, New Order, The Smiths, Joy Division and The National to name but a few. I believe I need not elaborate upon this, their music speaks for itself.

I have a question for you marat. Why do you call it the bard's play.

The Bard is Shakespeare's nickname! Think you that I, Marat, would go round pompously misnaming my heroes?

O Marat, French Revolution trivia has never been my best subject... You were stabbed, yes! But whether by Charlotte Corday or Nicholas Sarkozy, it mattered not to me...till now!

O Marat, how is your skin disease now? Has it been healed by your timely demise?

Considering the fact Marat has now sadly perished, I doubt that his skin disease has improved since then. I also doubt that a skin disorder is his primary worry, having being butchered in a bathtub. Remember, I claim not to be Jean Paul Marat, I am just somebody who admires his superiors and subsequently steals their names.

Other news now. Your beloved leader has been REFUSED ACCESS to the highly anticipated Capo de Tutti Capi II. I must make it clear that I believe that this is a fair and just decision, but it is nonetheless annoying. After a polite exchange with the forum moderator Andres, I kindly pointed out to him the hypocrisy of stating that there will be other chances and not to worry about missing it, whilst having "Join Capo de Tutti Capi II" written in big letters on the bottom of the page.

I am also gathering nominees for an awards ceremony which will be held on monday daytime (GMT). There will be awards for funniest post, most loyal supporter, biggest surprise etc etc. I am hoping to have around 6 awards. The full list of awards will be issued tomorrow, and if I can be bothered, I will include the nominees.

Finally, can somebody please enter my competition. It is tremendously disheartening to work as hard as I do, creating fun games for my followers, only to have people blow it back in my metaphorical face. That is all for now. May Magnus dress you in his love, Marat

The bard's play is another name for a play, also known as the scottish play, but we are not in theatre. So why not just say the name? Unless You were using the term as in shakespeares plays, like in all his plays, in which I have never heard it used in this fashion. If so, my mistake.

The bard's play is another name for a play, also known as the scottish play, but we are not in theatre. So why not just say the name? Unless You were using the term as in shakespeares plays, like in all his plays, in which I have never heard it used in this fashion. If so, my mistake.

p.s. This entire thread is pointless, but I'll willingly waste my time here. Out of boredom of course.

No, The Bard is a nickname for Shakespeare. I wanted to call him The Bard instead of Shakespeare, so I did. The rest of your post was not comprehendible. Marat

The play macbeth is often referred to as the bards play or the scottish play for superstitous reasons. I thought someone with your knowledge of shakespeare would understand what I had meant in my previous post without further explanation. I guess I was mistaken once again. My apologies.

I am fully aware of what you were implying in your last post, and I am fully aware of the fact that Macbeth is often labeled the Scottish play. What I did object to was your contradictory tone, implying that I was wrong to call Shakespeare "The Bard". Marat

First of all I was explaining myself cause you said you did not comprehend what I had said. Second, there was no tone, I was just asking for clarification. Third, I have no problem with you marat, nor do I feel like getting in an argument with you or having any tension between us. It was just a question, a misunderstanding, and an explantion.

Marat is losing his appeal, the post count has slowed down considerably and nobody bothers to place a dramatic, "O", before his title anymore.
Let me be brutally and literally uncouth in saying, 'I told you so!'

That is a terrible question!
You cannot fairly answer a query on the lives of two such different and extraordinary people in regard to who is, 'better'!
'Better', at what?
Both proved themselves well in respect to the ambition which guided them in their lifetimes.. I admire the memory of both Caius Caesar and Caesar Augustus, and before insult is brought to either I want to see your question rephrased, please!

Why are you still here? To be frank Glenn, your novelty has more than worn off. At first, you were a joy to have around, an intellectual challenge. Now, you are becoming tiresome. If you are so offended by KnowMarat, then stop visiting it. It really is that simple.

O, great Marat I have a query for you who would you say is better in your opinion: Julius Caesar or Augustus? I humblely await the enlightenment you will provide.
Dear child, I would have to say Julius Caesar, if only for the sense of drama surrounding his death. Of course this is a blasé answer as, although I hate to admit it, I agree with Glenn's below post. Glenn, this does not mean that I no longer perceive you as a time waster.

Award categories will be released later on today. Marat

Sorry about that, your highness. You must note that I did state that the decision was fair and just, and I wasn't in any way questioning your policy. I was merely making a humorous quip about the irony. Marat

An admirable attempt at impersonating your leader! However, please refrain from doing this in the future, or you will feel my wrath. Andres, the above post will suffice as an explanation for my actions. May Magnus forgive you mrdun, Marat

Um... to continue my culinary exploits...

What is the nobler food; the ham (roadkill chicken) burger, the cheese (rubber glove) burger, the (real) ham sandwich, or the pickled Gherkin?

Also, what is the best way to convert an extremist Jehova's witness to atheism, supposing one wished to do so?

I suppose dear child that the easy answer to this question would be the gherkin, as it is the only one that doesn't contain meat. Mediolanicus, thank you for your compliments. Tell me, out of the bands which ones do you like? A good leader must, afterall, always know his people. Marat

Out of you list? Give me Radiohead anytime then!

But Marat, a leader must not only know his people. The people must also know their leader. He is a person after all (or were you lying when you denied you were a creature?). So please tell us something about yourself.

Friends applaud, the comedy is over. Marat can be no more. It's true, life is a burden which we all have to bare, but a burden that I no longer have the energy or will to bare. I have enjoyed my moment, but all good things must end. Tell your children what it meant to know Marat! Tell your children that Marat was the death of Marat, and that no matter how much people tried to wear him down, he remained.

Why do you weep? Did you think I was immortal? This is a sad day indeed, but it would be preposterous to continue. What shame it would bring to look back in a years time, only to realise that I am a shadow of my former self. It pains me to say this, but it is better this way. Moderators, take me. Lock this thread, and may you never unveil the key to it. Let the audience fade to dust. Let the lights dim. Let the curtain fall, for I am spent.

Farewell, Marat

Ha! I just have to do this:

PAWN'D!!!

Now is time for great deeds. One leader is dead, another one must and shall take his place.

Worship Them, O! people and They shall carry you into the light and bring you eternal joy. Be happy and They shall we happy with you. Weep and They shall weep with you. Raise up your arms and They shall join you in your fight. Die and They shall lie down next to their people, knowing the end had come.

So rejoice, as They have come to liberate you from the false prophet, Marat!
