Here is how it works...start MTW using this shortcut "C:\Program Files\Total War\Medieval - Total War\Medieval_TW.exe -ian". you must include ' -ian' at the end, or you can type this commend in DOS to start the game.
Once it the full campaign, there are some debug keys:
a - Toggle autorun
g - Toggle godmode: see all regions and units
i - Toggle artificial intelligence
h - Toggle artificial intelligence
s - Toggle scenic tour
F5 - Toggle scenic tour
CTRL + i - Toggle panels
