ok, im working on my mod, and ive hit a few snags.
i have read all of the relevant tutorials in these areas, so please dont just direct me to one. i need specialized info.
1. how can i get the new faction symbols from the pack UI directory to show up? is there a way to redirect them or something. all of the other symbols show up. just the ones in the pack UI dont. deleting the packs doesnt work, the game does not load
2. i have added new units in (export) descr sounds unit voice, under unit select, and they dont say ANYTHING when clicked on. i want my new hastati to say "Hastati" like the vanilla ones do, what am i missing?
3. i have tried to get my mod to run through the BI engine, for added night battles and such..and i cnant get it to work. what does the target line look like, and for which icon, BI or Rome. also, which disk do i put in. this may sound pathetic, but i havent had any luck.
4. finally, i noticed my provinical campaign only has the "arcade battles" option, what happened to the other options, and how can i get them on there!!!?!?!? this one really bugs me :wall: all in all, too many problems. so help please....
thanks in advance!

For numbers 1 3 and 4 I can help :laugh4:

For the "packs" problem, you need to un-pack the files with vercingetorix's xpak, mod the files, and then re-pack them. You can download the xpak on totalwarcenter.com. The alternate is to make a mod folder, you can find that in the Scriptorium. I can't post links because i'm not at home...sorry...

For number 3, go to your BI icon and change the target name in properties. The end of the line should say "...RTW-BI.exe" -mod:data". This will make it work just fine. PS. put in the BI disc :beam:

For number 4 in the Provincial campaign there is no options at the start...but you can simply change them when you start the campaign. Just go to options, game options, and select what you want (battle time limit, etc)

For number 2, sorry I have no clue on sound  but maybe someone else will get to you

Any other qusetions just ask :2thumbsup:

For number 2 to get new sounds (or old sounds for new units) to apply in game I think you need to delete the events.dat file in data/sounds.

Actually just re-name it so its not found by game, then you can change it back if you have any problem.
