All my heirs turns out to be perverts of some kind
1. having an incest relation to his dougther
2. often drunk and lazy
3. made pregnant by an elephant
4. Devil worshiper (heretic)

and none of them have more than 3 stars.

why do they turn out like they do?

just plain bad luck. I believe it's random and that you just aren't lucky.

If I have two heirs in a row that are incest I usually start a new campaign out of disgust.

The only way your royals suffer from the incest vice is by drag-and-dropping a princess on her own relatives! So somebody's been very naughty when playing! And you should feel sorry for the poor old princess... It's just as well there aren't any event movies in the game!

Fishpants I got an heir too that had Incest when he came of age, he was the first of my heirs in all of my games to have that so I was naturally a little surprised. But what he** he is a great warrior. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

So it seems you can actually get Incest as a start Vice, along with those Captured, Mighty Warrior and so on.

I've come across heirs who've randomly been given the incest vice... worst scenario that I've had though is having four of my sons turn out to be absolute wusses, with either -6 or -9 to morale for all of them. I thought it was kind of weird 'cos my king at the time was hard as nails.

I play as the Byzantines and most of my heirs r rather hardy though i do end up with a few wusses.But Heirs with 6-7 stars r rather common among them.Maybe the Byzantines have better blood?
