Aren't there a bit too many of those? And here I don't mean the constructive topics, criticisms and/or questions. Too many threads refer to is this or that unit too powerful or not, or that the game is too easy (those that find it difficult will learn with time, I guess, so that's ok).
I guess it's only a matter of time before we see a thread about whether the peasants are underpowered......
I mean, people, if you have found a unit that works good for you, that's fine, deal with it. Some armies were just stronger than others, and those were the ones that won the wars, right? And all games have their own little tricks that you master sooner or later, and at that point they lose some of their charm, that part that was based on discovering something new. So, in my view, complaining about, instead of being happy that you did it, you figuring out what's the best thing to do in a game is a bit pointless.
As far as the multi vs. single player goes, it makes me wonder whether balancing the units to fit one purpose could actually ruin the game for the other. It might really be a good idea to have separate stats/prices for the two modes of the game, so that both are still enjoyable, and that your enjoyment is determined solely on the way you yourself like to play it.
And as for the people complaining that the game is too easy, I guess they can play some Chessmaster for a change.
I do however, enjoy a better part of the discussions here. It's just sometimes hard to find them lately.
Ranting off.......
