Ok...after months of playing...(September till now):wall: I have reached the Marion Reforms. The event was well handled. I liked seeing the General get the title of Reformator. Good touch!
I have churned out some Marian Legions which I must say are the well oiled killing machines I had longed for.
I do not see the new auxilary cavalry units. I am assuming they will be built in the proper regions.
Can anyone enlighten me as to where and what I need to get the new Cavalry units?

you cant recruit any cavalry in Italy after the marians, at least in the last version, when i last played as them. you have to recruit the gallic, thracian and iberian auxiliary cavalry units in their respective areas- look in the recruitment viewer for the areas where you can get them.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I know you can't recruit the cavalry in Italy. What do you have to build to recruit the Aux Cav in the provinces? Currently I have the same recruiting optons in the provinces as before with the exception of now being able to draw on the Vigiles.
I am supposing that I will have to build up an MIC to get the mounted troops.
Thanks again for any help.

yes marian aux cav reguires a high level of marian MIC (i think 4), which you can now build in almost every province. you can also still pull troops from your older foreign army barracks.

Which means that if you have Brihentin, you don't need Eqvites Gallorvm.

Though, for role-playing purposes, I would stop hiring regional units when you establish Marian MICs in a region.

Level two allows a higher mic, and is therefore required for high level units.

Men of the forum!
Thanks for you help!
The Gaulish cavalry is excellent. Building for Spanish and Thracian cav now. Will have to risk the wrath of the Sweboz to get the German cavalry. From my experience with them....once you start with them...you had better be ready to finish.
