I want to add a dialog sequence to my AAR and I would like to make it as historically accurate as possible so I need to know how it should sound, how one person would address a senator, just about everything that can make it realistic.

I have searched on wikipedia but I haven't found much. Does anyone know someplace on the internet where I could find such information (encyclopedic style articles are the most useful but ancient writings that can be fund at wikisource are also useful).

Read some of Cicero's speeches:

Some in the courts and some to the senate. Of course you can't fully comprehend nature of the speech with meager English translations, but I think for your purposes it will do.

The line "Conscript Fathers" is a famous one when addressing the senate formally which has been used liberally in many novels.

Good luck, I'll be sure to check out your AAR.

It could be useful later on but right now I am intersted in conversation not speeches.
