Playing as the Arche Seleukeia.

Greece is still open, as is the east.

Where to now?

Your the man:2thumbsup:, now you might want to power balance and go after anyone who's bigger or second in power, because you don't want five full stacks coming after you.

I'd Say head east conquer india than move west to take your ancestral homeland of Hellas.

It's what I'd do too: you'll probably get stuck in the ever-on-going war that accompanies the rule of Hellas (Getai to the north, Maks if there are any, Epeiros ditto, KH as well); so you want the flanks of your empire secure. 'sides if the Sweboz, Romans or Qartadastim come your way you have Greece as buffer for the Romans; and you should secure posession of Kyrenaia as well for the excellent defensive position against Carthage.

With those things in mind you might also want to take out the Sabyn first - apart from the lucrative trade routes that go along with it. (On a side note, some Indian auxilliaries -those archers for instance- would greatly aid in your conquest of Greece.)

The continuous wars you will be waging against easterners will also ensure that the RTW AI will feel no sudden urge to backstab you (at least if you garrison your western frontier properly; and the Maks aren't locked up on Lesbos yet).

The thing I usually figure when I'm behind the Grey is, yeah take India and eat Baktria's primary targets.

EDIT: That is, if you can't eat Baktria itself...

I'd say go for India. If you have conquered all of Asia Minor you have a very good defensive position against any potential western attacker, but your western front will be wide open. And, after all, those Baktrians have to be rightfully brought back under your rule. The East does not give you much money, because it is lacking the huge amount of sea-trade that makes the Aegean so attractive, but you'll have your border secured and access to Inidna locals, which are, btw, totally awesome. Especially the Archers and the Guild Warriors. They can surely be worth the amount of time you need to bring them west, but once Thrace is secured and you have access to Thracian Rhompaiophoroi they should replace the guild warrioris, but the archers are too good to be swaped for anything else. I mean, excellent archers with a great melee fighting capability? Any time of the day!:2thumbsup:

Well here is what I did: conquer Asia minor, build many ,many mines and use the money to build armies to crush Hayasdan and Baktria simultaniously and then send and expedition force to the northern arabian coast, go on, make it a full stack and then go to India. In the end I had about six armies at the time but I was still making about 80k a turn. Then I took about three full stacks to Greece and conquered it in a few years. I think I won the game somewhere around 240BC but im not sure.
Btw something strange: I could not recruit ANY Indian units, there were not even mercenaries except for some persian archers in India.
Good luck

Did you build regional recruitment centers?

Well I couldnt recruit anything at the lvl1 regional MIC so I sort of gave up and didn't even try to build higher ones.

Big Mistake:clown:
You missed the indian Guild warriors, they are available at the 4th level regional MIC, I think. The Indian longbowmen however are 2nd level factional MIC for the Seleucids.
