We all know about the AI crusade pathfinding bug. But can the AI legally declare a new crusade while an old one is still alive or is it a bug? Coz certainly I can't. This is the 2nd time I've had an AI faction declares two crusades on me. And yes, I can see BOTH crusades on the strategic map.

i think they can have (1) crusade per chapter house, therefore if they have (5) chapter houses, well you do the math =P

As I read from the manual, The Pope only allows each faction to have one active Crusade at a time. The Pope might give an OK for one more Crusade while the other is still active. All Catholic factions can have Crusade at the same time.

I've seen a faction that has two active Crusades at the same time. In my current campaign, I have 5 Crusades against me at the same time and two of them are French.

The only thing that is bad about AI Crusade is that they won't attack a province if it's not their target. Recently, I have 5 Crusade against me (2 French, 1 Italian, 1 HRE and 1 English). Two of them target for Cordoba and 3 target for Granada. However, they don't have sea route since I have ships all around my coast. They have to use land route. The problem for them is I have huge armies sit in Aragon and Navarre. The 5 Crusade armies just sit in Toulouse and Aquitaine until they depleted (they already lost half of the troops in the past 5 years) just like the their previous 6 Crusades. Do they know how to brake my defense line to get to their targets? 11 Crusades in around 100 years and none have met my army on the battlefield yet (unless I attack them).
