Just curious what keeps everyone from playing EB as much as they want to. Whether it be jobs, wives, or girlfriends. For me I recently got a new Beagle. He barely gives me time to sleep let alone conquer the world.

As a single man living on my own all that keeps me from playing EB is work, but luckily I am able to browse the forum in work leaving my free time for conquering. I shall not ponder whether EB is perpetuating my single status...

Work, my friends and my personal writing projects which I'm proud to say EB and the EB team inspired me to create and focus on. I'm also dealing with girls issues since I've got one that's a "friend with benefits" kind of thing, but I'm looking for one to start a serious relationship with :dancing:
Gotta find my own Roxane, Apamea or Laodice sometime. Just hope I don't run into any ones like Arsinoe II :sweatdrop:
Sadly enough, not being able to run it....my system don't want me to conquer the world, even after a dozent times re-installing....:shame:

No computer capable of running RTW. Though if that were available I don't think I'd have enough time to play much.

Work. School hours are crazily variable, and working in school means you get take-home work, too. That, and forums. :)
But I do get some EB time in at work... *blush*
Hiding EB at work must be super hard cause of the load times for alt-tabing.
School's a major distraction as well as "people"

The only thing that stops me from playing is a need to eat and sleep. If I could figure out how to do both at the same time, I'd be unstoppable.

Exactly. Especially when you have a major and two minors...and then from there you previously spent a lot of spare time studying a catechism. I can honestly say that I'm quite happy to be single--it saves me just a little extra time to play games which I wouldn't otherwise have because I'd be keeping her happy.:juggle2:
Though it's weird, for some reason in the last week or so a number of women older than me have expressed an interest in me, and I haven't the foggiest idea why.

School, homework and friends. It´s all very boring, but at least I can sometimes sneak in on the internet at school.

It is simple in my case:
:study: + :book: + :belly: + :kiss2: + + :gathering: + :clock: + :driver: + :lam: + :toilet: + :campfire: + :washing: + :music: :2cents: :thrasher:
Leads to less:

A minor exam at university with such an enticing title as "comsumer law". And of course  and :coffeenews: . For :smitten:I don't have time anyway.
Girlfriend and sleep are the major ones. I'm sure university will interfere when it starts up again.
A Mac.
I suppose EB runs rather poorly on Wine?

The loading times. I find myself playing mods that are totally out of EB's league just because life is too short to waist staring at a loading screen 30 minutes a day. The lag decreases my productivity as well.

Same here. Though a good mac with Bootcamp can run RTW, apparently.

.
Having not finished the horde mini-mod. Can't decide on the horde units.
.
Work (a bit), sleep (not much), my daughter (a lot!), a pregnant wife (a bit).
I gave my wife the "healthy, wise wife" trait, so that now she lets me play a bit more, because she knows that a happy husband is a helpful husband. I'm not sure how to give my daughter traits, and she's too young to marry off to a garrison commander.
my son:campfire:, work~:pimp:, school:book: when I get the chance to start back. also helping a friend at his just opened gun store:hmg:
Broken Crescent, the M2TW mod, currently keeps me from playing EB.

University and foruming.
And to a much lesser extend: poetry writing (which will later include short story and novel) and Visual Novel reading.

Sex, sleep and food in that order. I didn't list work because I work from home and play EB all day. It's pace is perfect in case I need to stop playing to actually work.
Broken Crescent, the M2TW mod, currently keeps me from playing EB.
How good is that? Would you say Broken Crescent is to M2TW what EB is to RTW? Or is it just pretty good, and interesting because it's different?
College....and the fact that my computer can't DirectX despite two formats:furious3:
