Im no techie but from what i hear the old shoggy server is much better than this gamespy nonsence, sure it used to go down but very very rarely, Why did they change it? I know ea ran it but couldent they now run a similar setup?

From what CA have been saying, the problems with Gamespy are bugs in MTW, not issues with Gamespy's servers.

I guess we should judge it after the patch.
