Pretty simple one...

Earthquake in Venice, nothing was destroyed, however I did get the income halved message.

I'm assuming, and hoping, 1 turn correct? Not permanently or for multiple turns?

Even with the income halved message, I now have Venice at 2312 florins this turn...after connecting the dots all the way around to tripoli/egypt. I would like to see that 4600 raked in next turn.

Thanks

Just one turn. Also, loyalty gets slashed as well, which can cause some nasty things to certain empires which are not holy, Roman, or an Empire...

Yes I can imagine...heh

So- even the loyalty, not just the income is only halved one turn?

This wouldn't cause me a problem...at all. This time at least.

Indeed, income and loyalty are both slashed for one turn. I couldn't tell you the exact measure that loyalty gets cut by, but I know its somewhat significant. Perhaps Martok or Caravel know.

I'm a blank on the loyalty drop, unfortunately. I just know it's usually not been an issue for me, as I tend to be pretty anal about keeping my provinces at or above 150% loyalty. (I try to avoid rebellions and civil wars....except for when I trigger them myself, of course. ~D )

Well, for me-

As stated, nothing was destroyed but I did get the income halved messaged displayed.

Loyalty dropped from 144% to 106% for one turn.

Income in Venice, which was reduced to 2312, is back up to 3842 now.

So it definitely wasn't a point blank "half" slashing of income and loyalty as it stated, but it was a slashing.

Perhaps how early we are in the game still (this happened at like 1113 and it's 1115 now) accounted for this lack of any major penalty this time.

Does anyone know if Venice is specifically prone to recurring earthquakes?

I don't remember it being any major issue but as you all know- This is my first campaign in some time and I hadn't ever gone very deep with the Italians before.
