Hello!
It is good that you start the gaming with a game from TW series.
Knackered... . . so British. :tongue2:
Well hello, welcome to the org. when I read "New Gamer" I thought you were just new to the Total War series, not gaming in general! Well I hope you enjoy MTW to it's fullest and hope you try and get hold of the others in the series.
May your stay here be very enjoyable.
Welcome Millomant ~
We have a whole bunch of people who still play MTW on a daily basis. They're all waiting to help you with hints and tips or just for a nice chat about an ongoing campaign right here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=20).

Hi andres, Hi all!!
I now realise there are other , newer, titles and that MTW VI is a little old.
I was thinking about Getting The Newest title and starting from there, However i am really enjoying playing MTW VI the early part, i've had a few little games so far to get used to it and have now embarked on a proper game so to speak. getting battered by assassins at the moment now i've taken all of south england and a little of wales
Welcome to the Org, Millomant! ~

I would reccomend staying with MTW: VI until the next one comes out later this year. It should have a lot less bugs than the last two.
Remember, Camels are the power!
Second to pevergreen.
I had a gowith Rome Totalwar (the tutorial) and don't like its battle as much, eventhough the strategic map is nicer . In the end, the MTW-Viking is just too good to get over with yet . I now have access to both RTW and MTWII but haven't even installed them yet . Now that you've had MTW and like it, I recommend trying it for a year or two, especially XL and other mods, before move on to its sequence.
Welcome to the org.

Hi Millomant, and welcome!
The variations possible in MTW:VI will keep you occupied for a long time yet! I will confess that I have not yet found a need to move beyond MTW:VI and the XL mod....with my next targets being PocketMod and BKB, there is still so much to do with MTW!
Enjoy!

As bamff has said there is lots you can do with mods and things. As for moving up, why don't you get m2tw, seems logical.

Welcome. If you like MTW, there are some user-made modifications that are really quite excellent. They add new countries, units, and additional depth. BKB and XL are two excellent "mods".
If you're new to gaming, drop by the Arena to check out the latest news and pick up some recommendations. ~:)
