okay. i cannot for the life of me get custom battles to load in my mod. what im currently running is a mod folder with a new rome TW campaign(provincial) through BI. i have tried all of the ways that the several guides discuss and then some, with no success. what exactly do i have to add/change to get them to work!?!? please help me out here.
one other thing. to get night battles to function i had to add options bi to the top of my descr strat. i have read this does a few other things. what other things does it do?
thanks again for helping out!
btw are there any minimods(like Archers skymod) that cannot be included in other mods without permission? i just dont want to use a minimod that people dont want used....
Sorry if that's a stupid question, but did you change the coordinates of the battle-fields?
Options bi also gives you that "sparkle effect" when your units get experience 9can be tunred off in prefs) and a not very important thingy with unit descriptinos. I don't know if there's more to it than that.

ok, let me explain what i did. i copied over the custom battles txt file to my mod folder. then copied over a imperial campaign folder and renamed it barbarian invasion as instructed. same with the names txt file. did not work... also, the guide says to delete map.rwm..( i did do this, but in the rometw direcory, was i supposed to do this for BI directory? :embarassed: what effect is that supposed to have anyway? my new campaign map obviously has totally new coordinates for the places, but i didnt edit the custom battles file.
Yep, you need to delete the map.rwm of your BI directory, as it stores info for regions, resources, map stuff and what not. You'll also need to change the coordinates of your CBs in custom_locations.txt, because some of them now might correspond with an invalid tile on your new map. I *think* there was a good tutorial somewhere around the scriptorium stating all that.

If I wasn't clear enough, just ask and I'll walk you through it :laugh4:.

haha yeah, that was the guide i used. you see, i was copying the imperial campaign and calling it barbarian invasion. not my own campaign :embarassed: since your guide isnt directly meant for what i did. i misunderstood. they work now though! thanks alot!
