I made a reigion and its city in the campaign but it CTDs. When I see the error message, it says the name was not in the stringtable- where is the aforesaid?

the stringtable doesn't physically exist, it is what game tries to build itself out of the other text files when it starts up.

Error just means you have a problem in any one of the text files, check that the name it is complaining about is spelt exactly the same (with same capital letter or not) in each of the files.

Specifically, which files are these?

descr_strat.txt, descr_regions.txt and imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt

Woopsie, forgot a whole bunch of them......

in the data/text folder
your_campaign_name_regions_and_settlements.txt
in the campaign / base folder
descr_regions.txt
and
descr_strat.txt
(EDIT:think you need to add it to descr_strat.txt for RTW - for BI you can miss it out and just have region turn up as village)

(also if you include region name in
descr_mercenaries.txt
or
descr_win_conditions.txt
or
descr_events.txt
or
descr_disasters.txt
and spell it wrong it will cause you problems. Name doesn't have to be in any of those files though, so just add it to top three files to get things working to start with)

It now says - 'unit description not found' - What is this?

It means that there is no entry in export_descr_unit_enums.txt or no entries in text/export_units.txt
