Hello everybody.Recently started playing EB after getting bored of RTR and wanting a new challenge. Now i'm sorry I didn't do this earlier...EB is clearly THE BEST mod out there. All my appreciation to the moders for their outstanding work :applause:
I have some questions on spawning armies. Are all of them scripted? In which cases do they spawn(what triggers them)? For example, what triggers the ones north of the alps? And does that only apply for the human player,or does it work for the AI too?Where else do armies generated by the script spawn?

Hope i'm not asking too much...:shame:

The ones north of the alps are to prevent to the Sweboz and the Romans conquering central Europe too fast. They spawn when an army, any army, lays siege to a city there. There can't be more than one spawned army per province, I thought.

BTW, should there be an explanation in the FAQ about this?

The FAQ does mention some particularly strong freemen. But not the spawning armies, that could be added.

Satres doesn't need a seige to jump on you! As soon as I set foot on his side of the Alpine line he brings his silver and gold chevrons to smack me around. Good fun, though. I'm using his never-ending skirmishes (if you can call them that) to keep my armies in shape while I'm consolidating current gains. I won't go against him without a full stack though, and still usually suffer around 50% casualties. And 8 units of heavy cavalry to repeatedly charge and recharge for ages before they rout. If they rout.
