Has anyone seen this?

I'm playing the Italians, have a ship in every coastal sea in the Med. I'm at war with the French, who have one single ship in the Sicilian sea (at peace/allied with everyone else). Now, since I do have ships near everywhere else (no high seas ships yet), my trade and troops ought to be able to take the long way around the Sicilian Sea (say, to get from Venice/Adriatic to Normandy/Channel). This is not the case. I'm blocked from moving troops westward of Sicily. This BUG seems minor, but if you take it together with the problems many already have with single evading enemy ships, it makes matters worse.

i think there might be some distance limiters on how far you can move troops by boat, depending on boat types....or something.

its just that at times when there is no blockade i cant move some troops really far, and ill put them half way, and try to move them next turn and it works...

There have been so many posts on this topic that is getting ridiculous. People need to check out the excellent table of contents cheetah put up and read before they ask.

------------------
"You there, knight!" "Yes, sir?" "We just lost that battle. Why did you order your men to charge that unit of enemy sergeants?" "Uh, I was impetuous, sir" "'IMPETUOUS!? Impetuous!? Men! Kill him, I want his head!"
