View Full Version : Team members?

Just a quick question, would it be possible to post a list of the currently active team members? I know there used to be a list somewhere but I'm kind of curious how much the composition has changed.
The reason I'm wondering is that over the last few months there has been a distinct lack of posts in the public forums by team historians focusing on Arabia, Carthage, the Celts, parts of the steppe, and I'm not certain who is the head of the Germanic team nowadays. Do they just not post a lot in these forums, or has there been a decline in those member numbers since the focus has moved to the physical production of the mod?
I realize the question might come across as a bit presumptuous and I understand if one is reluctant to make such a list, but I am genuinely interested.

Actually, I think the surge of whinage immediately post 1.0 sort of gave a few of them an "eleven-foot pole" aversion to the public forums... :sweatdrop:
IIRC a fair few who've been no-show since then used to be rather more active before.

Yeah, was wondering about that. Would have put me off posting.
There used to be a list in the public, which was updated by Aymar. I believe about one and half year ago they stopped doing this. Can't remember why. Personnaly I'm more than two years a member. Two and a half almost. So I guess that I'm almost one of the more senior members nowadays. lol. There are only a few people left of the real beginning. (Aymar is the only founder left IIRC) Khelvan is inactive for over a year or more. Urnamma is still one of the active early administrators.
Other longtime members since then are, eadingas (semi-inactive), Krusader (active), The_mark (not sure), Teleklos Archelou (The guy who's spend the most hours working on EB I think), Vercingetorix (the man who made RTW modding possible, semi-inactive), Steppe Merc (one of our nomad historians), shigawire (still in charge of the voicemods), LorDBula (tools, and coding). And more but I figure now that there are much more old-timers than I tought when starting the list. So I'm not going to list all of them.
Some oldtimers that are legend but inactive or just not a member anymore.
Ranika (the Celt expert which lay the foundation for the Celtic factions), Malrubius (the trait experts, who is the man behind still much of the EB trait system)

There is, of course, the credits file. ~;)
Which I'm sure I'll read when I have a computer that can run RTW, and have downloaded EB... ~;)
Regardless, does the credit file also differentiate between active/non-active members?

Since 1.0 came out, we haven't been as active (as we used to be) in purging the roster of inactive members. Sort of allowing a break to folks if they really need it. I did. But as EB2 stuff continues to ratchet up, and as final stuff is needed for EB1, we probably will get a revised membership list up before too much longer goes by (i.e., who knows when, but at least we are thinking about it).

The Swêbōz faction team is currently conducted as a Þenǥaz (Thing) with The_Tank, Handsome Viking and I as members, but talented others always help out (Blank, Stephan, Paullus, Anthony, Redmeth, Kervanos, Bovi, Tellos, Teleklos, Orb, Bozoslivehere, Foot ect. [forgive me if i missed you])
Some of us have more time or more interest in some of the spam with the occasional gem on these forums where some great people are if you can filter through the dirt. EB Rule #6669 Not all message-board member interest is created equal ~;)

That's not uniquely identifiable, as both Teleklos Archelaou and Tellos Athenaios have those initials. I know I've seen Tellos at the Sweboz at least. Can't remember if Teleklos also did, but I presume he did as he's been touching most every part of the mod with his amazing capacity for EB work.

You can blame me for certain Sweboz text descriptions.

I was sad to change some of your descriptions, Mizzou man. You are quite entertaining
"Beware the Behr Armies- RAWR!"
and
"I like cheese."
I totally kept this one, though:
{granary_germans_desc_short}
We have now completed a Building for Grain Storage. This one guy last year told us we didn't need to protect our stored grain over the winter. Boy were we surprised. So was he though, when we pulled his innards out and showed them to him. Life is funny like that sometimes.
(you're right Bovi, I always get both TAs mixed up, I will amend both ~;))
