Hello - just a quick question - In my recent Goidilic (Arverni migration) campaign I had trained mercenary general (Celtic lesser king - Neitos) and then he led my army to battle which he won and I got the option to adopt him into my family So I did it and he became part of my Family Tree, but what is wierd is that he still has his old infantry bodyguards. (like 4 turns later) I really like it, so I am not complaining about it I would only like to know if it is normal or not? I thought that all adopted/bribed etc, generals will automatically get your standart faction bodyguards. So was I wrong or is this what happened to me some cool bug?

They will get their own bodyguard unit, but I imagine that if the unit they are currently with is already a bodyguard unit (ie the unit code says they are) then the game doesn't change it. Never seen it before, but its a nice twist I must admit. Good catch.

I had this happen with one of my client rulers in my Saba campaign. He got adopted and kept his cavalry bodyguard. I thought it was a EB feature. Really cool one since I was a bit short on cav. . .

In an old Baktrian campaing, one of my non-family mercenary generals got the Hetaroi Kataphraktoi as his general unit once the vanilla Marian Reforms kicked in. He used to have a kinsmen bodyguard before then... Needless to say, I didn't complain.
