Always one of my favorites. I still remember watching the 7 Ups decades ago on tv. He was good in 2010 and Jaws, but I think All That Jazz was his best. Oh, and Marathon Man, good flick!

Oh well, another great one goes to that Big Actor's Studio in The Sky.

RIP..

it´s kinda weird....last night on a whim I picked up Jaws and watched it again....then I heard the news this morning..

I hope wherever he is he´s got a big enough boat.

Oh, man... I can't believe he's dead. I just recently saw him again in "The French Connection." One of the better best actors who never quite made it; right up there with Ernest Borgnine and Harry Dean Stanton.

I had the misfortune of catching one of his more forgettable roles, in "The
Peacekeeper", [with Dolph Lundgren, and Montel Williams - perhaps tells you
enough] wondering if, and rather hoping he would make an appearance in
something considerably better in the near future. Shortly afterwards I heard
the news.

Thankfully, and rightfully, he will be remembered for his other work.

{And I just see a couple of you had similar experiences. Hm.}
