Sweet. Looks like a great game. I wonder if there is an option for the AI to just play by itself randomly?

There going to release the creature editor demo sometime before prior to the release of the game, should be intresting to see if it works with my Tall Tripod creaute with its mouth and claws in the middle of the creautes hull...

The spelling source, sauce is a liquid of sorts you put on food (like ketchup, or that brown sauce with big ben on that front)
The source is this (http://www.xspore.com/news/385_spore-creature-editor-release.html)

On topic, hope this game lives up to the hype. It looks very interesting, but it also looks like it could become a short lived gimmick game very, very quickly.

Agree completely, either it can be great or you get bored of it quickly.
From what I've seen it did look somewhat interesting but videos can be very misleading concerning the actual content.

I guess my fear is that it turns out to be just a glorified "Sims" type game, I never really liked or got into the Sims series. Of the other "God" type games, Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 standing out in my mind, there were a few that I enjoyed and had replay value.

Does anyone know what the computer requirements for this game are supposed to be?
Spore and Empire:TW are the only PC games I'm really looking forward too but I already know that my computer will die from laughter at the mere thought of running Empire.

I'm still wondering if the game can play in observation mode and just watch the AI play.

I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where, was quite a while ago) that despite the huge scale and pretty graphics, the reqs for Spore won't actually be that high.
lol, why is everyone syked about this game? Cause it is supposed to be philisophical, radical, artistic, etc? Looks like a bunch of BS to me, lol.

I suspect people's fascination with the game has more to do with its sheer scale than anything else. To go from a single-celled organism to a space-faring civilization is almost the very definition of "epic".
lol, or "stupid". There is gonna have to be a scale conversion, which will make it little more than an arcadish version of AoE, but with a VERY stupid plot.
lol, maybe I am just being a killjoy, but it seems like a pretty lousy idea for a game, and looks pretty retarded. :P
Sorry if I offended anyone with my over-opinionated post. :P

lol, I do? I didn't know that. :P
No, the game just looks dumb, lol.

Uh-huh...so an entire galaxy with hundreds of thousands of star systems, and many thousands upon thousands of different individual creatures at various stages of evolution to be conquered is 'dumb'?
Why do you hate gigantic 3-dimensional freedom? :whip:

BTW, are you responsible for deleting my thread on MIII: TW?
Kekvit Irae

It's not deleted, just moved to the Entrance Hall. Arena is for non-TW games. :P

Kek, you disturb me sometimes. ~;p
Personally, I'm going to go for giant, man-eating spider people -- we'll see if I can creep myself out or not!
