THe Pink Splodge of DOOM!

I use Fireworks MX and the dds converter on twcenter to mod tga files. i tried to mod out some of the mountains in Greece but got a passable pink splodge. What has happened?

You are either using an invalid colour in map_ground_types.tga or you have a wrong name/path for one of the texture files referenced in descr_aerial_map_ground_types.txt.

Seeing as I used the eyedropper on a 4*4 average very probable - I just worked that out!
