Im playing as the danes. I attacked some territorys and almost everytime some allies have joined the fight, which is nice.
The problem is that everytime exept 1 the alliance have won the day or saved the day or whatever it says. I attacked crushed the defens with various victory 2 times the allied never even reached the battle before I won it, and even then it says the alliance have saved the day and I lost the province.
Its not that they had bigger army then I had cause about 60% of the times I had more men then my allies.
Why??? anyone with a good anser??? Its so annoying.

The question you need to ask yourself is who had the biggest armie after the battle?

Before one of the battles I had ovre 700 men the english (my allied) had about 150 and the enemy about 500 men. The english never got to the battle before it was over so they had all their men I killed about 450 and lost 47. After that battle I still had more men then the english and killed more men then them and they still got the territory

Hmmss ... no answer ... but here is my solution :
When an ally of mine is attacking the same province as my army (doesn´t happen often but had quite a few of those), I usualy lead my men to a nice high ground and enjoy the show of both AI´s tearing each other apart.
When the "show" is over, there are two kind of scenarios.
1st. Your ally wins. If so either you or your ally gets the province ... duno of any reasons, like whom get´s it.
2nd. The Enemy routes your ally from the Battlefield ... and thats the way (aha, aha), I like it ! Use you Cavelery to ride down some of your enemies elite units as they chase your ally, but spare some so that they chase your ally all the way back home.
With your ally running, it is now your turn alone to take the field. You can easily use the disorder of your enemy and crush him anywhich way you like, and with you beeing the only remnand of your `alliance´ ... "And the Province goes to Player 1 !!" *applause*
The Viking,
Are you sure you weren't in fact helping your ally to relieve the siege of one of his castles? In that case, they will get their province back, regardless of the army size.

The only other thing that I can think of is that they had bigger reinforcements, since those are also counted into the army size when determining who will get the province. Apart from that, I really don't know.
