View Full Version : New drivers for my old GeForce 4
I have an old P3-900Mhz and on it a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 graphics card. I'm using the 6.14.10.4523 for the card on win xp.
Could somebody tell me is this the newest driver for the card and if not where can I download the newest version from (with a link, if possible).

Top left, click "download drivers". Click the pull-down menus for whatever you have, in this case Geforce 4, whatever your OS is, etc, and it'll take you right to the drivers.
:balloon2:
I've chosen the Geforce 4 MX from the menu and here's what came up:

Will this driver work with my card? I don't have time to screw around much with this if it doesn't work, I just want to install the new driver without too much fuss.

Yep, according to the "Products Supported" menu the mentioned driver works correctly with the Geforce 4 Ti 4200.

Be wary when updating drivers for older cards. You probably won't see any gains from the newer driver versions with older hardware. Also older games (including older TW titles such as STW and MTW) sometimes have problems with newer graphics card drivers.

Nikpalj, will you please give this (http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/omegadrive.htm) a shot sometime ?
Look for the line where it says:
21.5 MB nVidia Omega Driver 1.6693 (forceware 66.93) Windows 2000/XP (Hitting CTRL-F and writing "66.93" in the search box will get you to the line more easily)
and download it. The website does not allow hotlinking of the files, that's why I can't give you the direct link. Just be careful with the version I'm recommending.
Enjoy.
P.S. Install these drivers after either formatting and installing a fresh OS or follow my guide here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=83334). Take this as a thumbrule whenever you think of changing your video drivers.
