Hey all,

Anyone here watch UFC? I'm intersted in it and wonders if anyone else watches it?

I have seen a few fights, its fairly enjoyable though too much technique for my liking i guess, some plain old punching in the face violence is more my thing.

I like wrestling....UFC really isn´t my bag....the matches normally end too quickly for me to get interested.

it´s kinda like boxing.....Rocky -> makes boxing look cool....but actual boxing?...I can´t be bothered to watch a real match.

The UFC is great entertainment in my book, but I don't buy the ppv shows or anything. Fights can be decisive, quick displays of brilliance or drawn out bloody affairs of endurance and both are fun to watch. Most of all? I never get the feeling that a UFC fight is fixed, and only rarely does it seem like the fighters are being lazy or overcautious.

Boxing is dead, people are just feasting on the corpse at this point. Great history behind boxing, but the hideously boring modern era of incomprehensible belts and titles for every quarter pound differenent weight class and nationality is unwatchable. I catch a few fights a year and I feel lucky if even one of them turns out to be decent. Boxing's last great moment was when Lennox Lewis got lazy in Africa and Rachman fed him some leather.

Old UFC was great, before they ruined it with stupid rules.

Chute Boxe fan for life here. :smash:

Went to see UFC 80, got awesome seats. Probably go to the next one in the UK, which I think is 85. Not be getting as awesome seats though, can't afford. . . Rumored to have Liddell vs Shogun and Werdum vs Vera on the card. Which could be all kinds of great.

Prefered watching Pride though lol.

As an aside, I just found out that there's a JiuJitsu school in my city here that's run by some a few guys who are direct students of Royce Gracie himself. I don't plan on quitting my school any time soon, but given the reports I've heard from fellow students, I'd like to check that out at least once or twice.
