Cannot search for Backroom topics?

I was looking for a particular topic. I tried the advanced search function as well as Find all topics created by this user, but the backroom evades the spotlight entirely. :juggle2:

If I remember correctly, the Backroom (and maybe the Frontroom as well) are not searchable. The performance hit is too costly.

They're so large, searching them puts a strain on the servers. Is there something in/from the backroom I can help you find?

I just thought about these sites which incorporate a google search on their own site, would that maybe solve the problem, to just let google search them for us?
Not sure what strain google would put on the server then or whether the results would be useful but just an idea.
