in this tactic you need one or two archer units(or more) and three or four cavalery units and as many vikings as possible
first you place your cavalery on the side of the enemy at good distance. then you send the archers to fire on the enemy, this will probably make the enemy angry and they will attack your archers(dont worry, its a part of the plan). this will make the enemy archers ALMOST undefended, so then you send the cavalery to exterminate them. the archers will be skirmishing so the pursuing enemy should be out of formations(an easy prey for the vikings). then you send the vikings to destroy the rest of the enemy.
this is a really good tactic against revolts and is also really good in invasions too as long as its not against late and high period units.
