does pure archer shoot better than infantry/archer combo?

i was always wondering about this, when playing Turks especially. Since Janissary Infantry and Janissary Archers both can shoot, unless the Archer can do a better job on shooting, i really don't see the point to use them instead of Janissary Infantry.(After the new patch you can only build Janissary type troops in one province)

We will know after the patch when we get the projectile file. Just like in MI we will be able to see how powerful and accurate ect ect they are.

Right now, we can only compare the effectiveness of them in Costom Battle.
