Description
The well-worn way leads the traveller home.
Trails aid movement in a province. They are little more than the tracks to and from the fields, linked by the rough paths blazed by particularly adventurous peasants. Historically, most people rarely left their home village. Most folk lived and died within a few miles of their birthplace. There was simply no point in travel for most people: moving somewhere else would merely bring them under the control of a different warlord. Day-to-day life would be exactly the same, and largely spent labouring in a soggy field. Also, wrinkly feet are not conducive to travel!
