As I wrote about in the last article on here (about RTW's Wardogs units), I have some curious (and sometimes practical) pet peeves when it comes to playing Rome: Total War. Most of them has to do with humiliating the enemy on the battlefield - which can translate to "take as few casualties as possible while inflicting as many as possible (in the most condescending manner)".

Therefore, along with the Wardogs, I do of course have a liking for ranged units. And especially so ...

There are a number of things - units, tactics, nations, buildings, strategies - that I seem to have a certain weakness for when I play Rome: Total War. One of the most obvious that applies to many teams and can be used for a majority of the game is the Wardogs unit.

Seems like the usual crowd over at CFC has let down the upcoming host a bit, so there are some free spots in civplayah's NotW XXXII game. He's a great notw/mafia player and I have no doubts that he will do nicely as a host, too. If you thought NotW sounded interesting, like mafia games and is ready to put a bit of roleplaying into your game (you can be cynical and scheming behind the scenes, don't worry!), why not sign up and have a shot at the genre?

Quite a few of the current Gameroom mafia players on this forum are now originally from the Civilizations Fanatics Center forums like myself. Seon, Backwards Logic, Methos, Renata and Winston Hughes, per example. On the other hand, several of the players who originate from this site - .orgers - are now also playing in the games of the CFC; AskThePizzaGuy and Beefy187 to name a few.

All of the players mentioned above have tried being part of a Night of the Werewolves ("NotW") ...

When hosting a mini mafia game (currently size 7 players or less), some things are vastly more important to focus on due to the extremely small timeframe and/or playerbase.
