  • CA's annual Christmas Picture competition.

Hello and good day to you, dear Orgahs.

Our friends over at CA told us that they're running their annual Christmas avatar (henceforth known as picture) competition once again.

To give you an idea what the heck I'm talking about, this is the excellent piece of work created by last year's winner, Helepolis:

CA is looking for avatars or pictures based around Total War that also have a Christmas theme to them so these can be edited screen shots taken from your favourite Total War title or unit models or even in-game flags.

The pirze is a personal avatar on the official .com boards and an item of DLC from the TW game of your choice!

This year pictures can be any size up to 1024x768 plus the number of prizes will be dictated by the number of entries under the following formulae :

Up to ten entries = only a prize for 1st place
Between ten and twenty entries =1st and 2nd place prizes
    Twenty+ entries =1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes

    These are the rules:

    1. Only avatars/pictures based on a Total War theme are eligible for entry.
    2. All avatars must have a Christmas element to them.
    3. Only one entry allowed per member
    4. Previous winning entries are not eligible for submission.
    5. Entries can only be a maximum of 800x600 in size
    6. The number of prizes will be dictated by the number of entries as explained in the formulae above
    7. All entries are at the moderating teams discretion and any entry can be refused admission to the competition without any reason being given.
    8. The winner(s) will be awarded permanent use of a Total War themed avatar of their own design to be used on their profile and one item of DLC for any TW game of their choice.

Please submit all entries into this thread (you must have a forum account at TotalWar.com/forums in order to view this thread), entries can be made until midnight December 20th GMT; winners are decided by popular vote over at the .com fora by a public poll.

The winner will be announced on New years day (January 1st 2012)

Just to get you even more in the mood here are 2009's winning entries, when the competition used to be for avatars only.

Those interested, can head over to the .com fora and post their work. Good luck to all of you who are going to take part in the contest.
