Hey all,
I've got a non-mafia game in the works that I'll probably have starting in a week or two. Its a mix of a few games we've had, with a few new devices as well. Its going to be more story oriented, but every player will still have full control of what they want to do. Mechanics-wise, the closest I can think of as a comparison would be to say the game is a cross of Lost City of Tikal, by Sasaki, and the various iterations of Battle Royale.
Now, I'm only looking for maybe a dozen players at most. Each player will get a specific role, with benefits and downsides. The players start as a group landed on a Pacific Island, investigating rumors of scientific malpractice. Generally, they'll be advised that there's a strength in numbers. However, there's also a perk for coming out solo- any research found on the island could be worth millions, perhaps tens of millions. The less players left at the end, the less to split the cash with... if they find the research at all, of course.Of course, there will be a few twists and turns in the journey for the cadre of players, to keep them on their toes.
