I was having a problem that I attributed to the corrupted save bug. I am on my first campaign and have probably 60+ hours in it, so I had no desire to start over. Went out of town for the weekend, came back and said "What the heck, I'll give it a try." Well, the game didnt crash out after the Turk retreat. It just fixed itself and I haven't had any crashes yet, 8 or so turns later.
So, if there is that one campaign you are dying to get back to, might be worth it to give it a try after you let it sit for a while.
