Would Corinthian helmets be out of date in EB's time period? and why do the Spartan hoplites wear those bullet-shaped helmets when no one else wears them?

Bullet-shaped helmets provide for a better ballistic trajectory when fired from a cannon. A lesson taken from Thermopylae.

maybe the spartans needed time at thermopylae, no heroin no alchohol no nicotine, nor did they need help from caffeine-just dynomite and turpentine. maybe they needed oil for gas-explosive one like kerosine, with lots of Octane and free of lead, a fuel like BENZIN!!! (petrol in german and arabic):dizzy2: :dizzy2:
that's why they made the Pilos (the bullet shaped helmet):idea2: -to cut on gasoline needed for transportation and shooting:idea2: :idea2:
(no that's not true-pilos was open and lighter than a corinthian-so the opted for it since 450BC)
Pilos helmet: More open, lighter, not to mention cheaper and easier to make and wear. They sacrificed additional protection for the use of their peripheral vision and the ability to hear orders better on the battlefield.
And besides, it's not like the Greeks would use the same helmet design during their entire period of existence, eh? That would just be silly...
just a Hint: You will see pilos helmets much more often in EB2...

thanks for elaberating-felt too lazy to do it myself.
@O'etairos: will there be more Thracian helmets?
The Thracian helmet is already all over EB: Hypaspistai, phalangites, some cavalry.
Expect differently shaped Thracian helmets along with much more variety.
that is EXACTLY what I meant-more variety, like crests and plumes
thanks!
And horns !
:shifty:
...what ?
LOL!
hey leave jokes about things you saw in an EB campaign/battle on that thread I made called EB jokes
...when they remove the helmets, the horns remain...:viking:Quote:
