Question: How is stainless steel?
I sow a post a couple of days ago regarding stainless steel, but can't remember who posted it and i can;t seem to find it, but it said that stainless steel is a mod for those that haven't bought Kingdoms yet so it'sa kingdoms mod or a vanilla mod? A and plus i keep getting crashes from BROKEN CRESCENT can someone help? or is the name true BROKEN ?
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
I don't know about Stainless Steel (I would like to know too), but if your Broken Crescent crashes, you should check out this thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=140964
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
I hear it's pretty shiny, somewhat sturdy, and easy to clean.
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
The Stainless Steel mod has a version for both vanilla M2TW, as well as M2TW/Kingdoms.
The version of Stainless Steel for vanilla M2TW can be found here. Just make sure you have the game patched to 1.2 first. ~:)
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
I'm a big fan of SS 4.1 (I don't have Kingdoms) though that version does not include an AI modification, so you have to add in campaign and battle AI mods on top of it.
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
Played 2 campaigns....well, until each crashed, which is my PC's fault not the mod's....it is fun and very well worth a try....:2cents:
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
I just started a 5.1 campaign as the Scots and was able to take York because unlike LTC at the start York is Indep/Rebel. Hopefully this will help with the Scots otherwise miserable starting economy. Also, I have heard that the pike units have had their secondary weapons (rubber knives) removed which makes them a usable unit which performs in a more historical manner (in my opinion, which is highly regarded by my Harvey my Cornish Rex cat).

lol I consider jokes to be less spammy than actual spam. And if we were to get technical, your post isn't on topic either.
But point taken. back to topic!
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
Ah no problem...i don't mind ATPG making jokes here he is entintled to his 2 cents...i just wanted to know how stainless steel is so as to know f it's worth trying.
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
stainless steel 5.1 is AMAZING, it uses kingdoms, so if your a polemicist on securom you wont get it
when i play 5.1 its like playing the mtw2 as it should have been made
if you wont buy kingdoms try 4.1...but 5.1 has so many factions to play your really missing out with no kingdoms
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
SS is a ton of fun. It adds a lot of twists to the game and breathes some new air into it. Units need supplies, generals gain titles which can be moved to new characters, there are new factions and many new units and skins.
It is much more involved and much more realistic in ways (troops get war-weary, generals get wounded before getting scarred and get can get pnuemonia if the spend winters campaigning, etc). The biggest change is that armies and units are much more expensive, preventing you from maintaining huge forces in the field until you have a huge economy (for example some elite cavalry are 1000+ to recruit and cost 400+ a turn).
For me, SS is like RTR for M2TW. It almost feels like a new game :beam:
Re: Question: How is stainless steel?
Wait for 6.0.
I'm still amazed that someone actually asked the question. :dizzy2:
