nothing happening when starting up
Recently downloaded EB I've installed it got all the fixes put them in place yesterday night eagerly anticipating today when I would finally play it and so today I woke up started the computer up, double clicked the EB10 shortcut and and like it should I, assume, a little red box with Rome Total War comes up, excitement was at all time high. Then the whole screen gets filled with by a window that says Europa Barbarorum blah blah blah and then nothing happens:help: it just stay on that screen absolutely nothing happens and the task manager says it not responding. I've tried it over and over aging but all I get is that window. I've heard that the load times are slow is this one of those instances.

I have this exact same problem, actually, and I would be interested in seeing if anyone has a solution. I get to the loading bar of the main menu, then the game seemingly stops loading. I've checked the validation file to see if I was missing something; it did give me a list of items that were, I guess, changed, but nothing that I could see that would cause this bug. I also tried playing RTW 1.5 before installing EB just to make sure the vanilla installation worked, and everything was fine.

This is NORMAL for EB. It has to load a whole lot more files than Vanilla so no wonder it takes longer. Wait a few minutes and it will start, I guarantee it. And don't always trust the task manager.:yes:

If you get to the loading bar and it stops, maybe you didn't install it correctly. Or you didn't give it enough time. Try again, and if it still doesn't work maybe somebody else can help you.

I'll try it again when I get home. I've installed the mod twice, now, actually. The first time it wasn't over a clean install of RTW 1.5 (some old RTR files were still in the folder). It didn't work, but the loading bar would get about halfway before freezing.
This time I installed it over a totally clean install of 1.5, following all the instructions to the letter. It gets to the loading screen but doesn't appear to be loading at all, unlike the first installation which did... to a point.

I honestly don't what this is. Someone more experienced should look at it. A clean install of everything could help (I know its a pain in the a..).

I could have sworn I posted an archive with those files at some point (the three at the top, that is). Can't find it now. I'll post it when I get home, remind me if I haven't done it in 4 hours.
